Federal 356 TSW 147gr. Hydra Shok 20/bx – P356HS1

Description

The .356 TSW is similar in size to a 9×19mm Parabellum or a 9×21mm (21.59 mm exactly) albeit with a much stronger case allowing for higher pressure and as much as 40% more energy at the muzzle. It was designed to be used in IPSC shooting events, but rule modifications specifically addressing its advantages were hurriedly established to make it irrelevant for competition. Due to renewed interest as a superior cartridge to 357 SIG, new production ammunition and caliber conversion kits for Glock 17 (Gen 1-4) and 19 (Gen 1-5) pistols became available in 2020.^[2][3][4]

Federal Premium manufactures this 356 TSW Hydra-Shok handgun ammunition, loaded with 147-grain projectiles. The 356 TSW (Team Smith & Wesson) cartridge was developed for enhanced performance in select semi-automatic pistols. Each round features Federal’s Hydra-Shok bullet design, which incorporates a center-post hollow point intended for controlled expansion. The ammunition is packaged in a 20-round box under product code P356HS1.

The cartridges are newly manufactured and loaded to Federal’s specifications. The 147-grain bullet weight and Hydra-Shok configuration are designed for consistent ballistic characteristics within the 356 TSW caliber. Factory brass cases are paired with boxer primers and non-corrosive propellant. The ammunition carries Federal’s typical headstamp markings identifying caliber and manufacturer.

Packaging includes one box containing 20 cartridges. No additional accessories or components are included beyond the factory-sealed box. Each round is arranged in standard plastic tray packaging within the outer carton, consistent with Federal Premium’s presentation for handgun ammunition. This ammunition is in new condition.
